I remember when How I Play Golf came out to the bookstores. I immediately bought one and I think it’s a very good book Tiger has put together. This is a must to get. If you don’t have one yet, GET IT NOW! Tiger will teach you everything from trick shots to health fitness. Although I DO NOT recommend you to copy his swing mechanics unless you are under 18, there’s so much short game and putting in this book that can help your golf game.
There’s no denying that Tiger Woods has taken golf by storm. It seems like every time this 25-year-old swings a club, another PGA record is shattered. While his explosive drives, accurate approach shots, and steady putter certainly contribute to this success, both fans and critics agree that it’s Tiger’s devastating mental game that has propelled him to become the premier golfer of our time. Now Tiger shares his thoughts on what he calls the game of a lifetime. He reveals the five secrets he believes are responsible for his success-a combination of physical, metaphysical, and psychological practices he uses daily to keep his game in top shape and help him to transcend all the ups and downs of golf. Best of all, Tiger reveals his unique approach to the game for the first time ever in this one singular volume.
Get it here:

Apart from the Men’s Golf, Annika Sorenstam probably has the best swing in golf. The above animated gif is a favorite among mine that’s floating on the internet.
Click below for the full swing analysis of Annika Sorenstam and a HOWTO drill for copying her “stand-up-head-up” downswing.

Here’s HOWTO practice with 1 golf ball.
Really, you will need to get a 60 degree lob wedge, put weight on your heels, hit about 1/8 inch behind the ball, then you will need to really keep steady and make a nice smooth shot with super light hands and also keep your finish short so you can get your right hand out to catch the ball.

Hmm… My guess is that Tiger might win it but then I think Zach Johnson might have a chance due to his 60 today… if he shoots another 60…

Here’s some useful information for following Tiger’s news or history:
We will be creating a Golf Social News site where people can see all the news in the world for golf… well… if I can just get my lazy ass to be in the same seat by my computer instead of heading to the driving range…

The 60 yard wedge is probably the hardest for regular joe golfers. This is the shot I practice the most. This IS the shot that Tiger practices most too. (and probably more than 50% of the tour players)
The difference between Tiger and rest of the tour player is that he can hit the 60 yard fade and the draw. He will be able to work the ball even though he’s not hitting it far.
Well here’s simple guideline for practicing your 60 yard wedge:
1. keep your golf grip super light for distance control
2. Rhythm, rhythm, and rhythm
3. Try to hit it in the middle or slightly inside of your sand wedge.
4. Try to hit the ball only, no divot for super control. Whenever you make a big divot, you are inviting dirt into your clubface grooves, which causes your ball to either:
- bounce too much after landing
- fly too long
5. It’s just a smaller version of your full swing. Master this shot and it will help all other parts of your ball striking.
6. If this helped you, leave a comment!
P.S. Youtube video might be hard to see, but that ball landed 5 feet from the pin.
