Arnold Palmer Invitational Live at Bay Hill – Tiger Woods Wins!

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

On the 18th hole, Tiger Woods and Sean O’Hair are both tied for the lead at 4 under.

Sean O’Hair putts from about 35 feet, comes up about 3 feet short for birdie.

Next up is Zach Johnson, about 15 footer downhill for birdie… misses for a par now.

Finally, Tiger Woods from about 15 foot, uphill putt.   (15 feet 11 inches to be exact the announcer says on TV)

Boy, these guys make a LOT of money even if they don’t win the tournament.  What a feeling it is to be a PGA Tour player, making couple hundred thousand dollars just as long as you finish 54 holes and make the cut.

Tiger now putting for the win at the 18th green, this is IT!

Tiger steps back…

Tiger putts… will it go in the hole???

Tiger Woods MAKES THE PUTT on the 72nd of the tournament to WIN the tournament!

It’s over!  Tiger Woods wins his first PGA Tournament at Arnold Palmer Invitational!  Go Tiger!

What a come-back and congrats to Sean O’Hair for his effort.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Live Update From 18th Hole!

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Tiger Woods now hitting his 2nd shot on the 18th hole.

Taking a lot of time to prepare…. Tiger hits his 2nd shot pretty darn good, 15 feet from the pin, nice uphill putt left for a birdie and a sure win.

Meanwhile, Sean O’Hair has hit his 2nd shot about 35 feet left and past the pin, a lot harder birdie putt left for him.

Zach Johnson also in the last group, hits his 2nd shot pretty good, 15 feet from the pin but out of luck for winning the tournament as he’s 2 back of Tiger and Sean.

Now, just 3 putts left from the 3 players at the Arnold Palmer Invitational…  updates coming soon so keep refreshing your browser.

Live Update From 12th Hole at Arnold Palmer Invitational!

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Sean O’Hair is leading the tournament by 1.  Sean is at 2 over par today and 5 under for the whole tournament.

Tiger is only 1 shot behind, it looks for sure Tiger might win this tournament pretty easy.   Tiger Woods is 2 under today, 4 under for the whole tournament.

Zach Johnson is 2 under for the tournament, at 3rd place.

One thing we have to remember is that Tiger will always win when coming from behind, especially if he’s playing better than his competition.

In today’s case, I think Tiger will win by at least 2 or 3 shots, he’s skills should really show near the end of the competition, where pressure is fierce.

A pro’s golf skills are judged really by how well he can play under a LOT of pressure.  Any pro can shoot 8 under on a good day without pressure but it’s the pros that can still shoot 8 under on Sunday that win tournaments.

Anyways, let’s see what happens, follow live action on Twitter as I will be twitting live golf.
