Almost every top golfer I see that this feature.
It’s called the “triangle extension”, well that’s what I call it.
If you tape yourself and you can’t do this, it probably means you are not 100% efficient with your golf swing.
Even me, with 19 years of golf experience including junior golf, amateur golf, pro golf, and couple trophies here and there, can’t do this.
Golf is hard but the secret is here.
However you backswing, the result must look like this. A triangle with a full followthrough. It simply means that you didn’t manipulate your swing and you are putting 100% of your body power into the ball.
The great golfer in history of golf did this, Ben Hogan. He did it better than anyone, even Tiger.
Tiger was taught to copy Ben Hogan.
Now, how to do this?
Go grab a 10 pound piece of piping and swing it very slowly until you can feel your arms coming out of your arm sockets.
See if you can repeat that with a regular swing with a regular club.
Do this as often as you can until you can do it under pressure.
That’s my tip for today.

Hi there, my name is Max.
Welcome to ProGolferDigest.com.
As a former pro golfer playing in various mini-tour tournaments and other stints as a Pro golfer, I’d like to share what I have learned from other Pro golfers and famous teachers such as Tiger’s old coach, Butch Harmon.
As a parody of Tiger Woods’ name, I made this site called “Junger Woods” since Jung is my legal name.
Why am I not on the PGA Tour yet?
Well, I broke my finger and I ran out of funding and money to keep going as a pro and dove into the corporate world, wasting my youth and energy to make a living. My finger injury lasted almost 2+ years before I could play normal golf again.
Now, I am on my own at least, making money with blogs. My next goal is to make enough money so I can support my pro-tour challenge. I know it’s going to take me couple years to get to the PGA, but I thought I’d make a blog and tell you about my journeys there.
I will be doing swing analysis of pro golfers and also critiquing my own golf swing. By simply reading my golf analysis, you will learn everything I have learned from various pro golfers and teachers.
Why don’t you become a teaching professional?
Well, I don’t want to end up as a golf teacher. My goal has been always to “play” competitive golf and nothing else. Heck, I do teach golf right here, on my blog. That’s the least I can do to give back the 19 years of golf experience that I have.
Besides, blogging actually freed me from the gruesome 9 to 5 schedule of a real “job”. Now I have more time to focus on golf and blab to you about golf.
Can you do any trick shots?
Yes, I actually do hold the record for most shots hit with 1 golf ball. You can watch the video here.
What’s your handicap?
Well, I haven’t had that much time to play lately since I have to make a living in front of my PC but I will shoot anywhere near par whenever I go out. (+1-3 handicap…) My lowest score is a 64 so far, which isn’t great by pro tour standards but yes, I will take most people’s money when we bet for skins. My goal is to shoot 4-6 under consistently on any course I play, which is something most pro tours can do.
Do you have any swing tips?
Well, my swing tips are kinda all over the place but while I get organized you can check out some of the tips here:
How to hit the dreaded 30 yard pitch shot
How to hit the 15 yard pitch shot with a 60 degree lob wedge
I also write a tech blog over at Zedomax.com, so check that out too!
