Secret to Lagging the Golf Club!

by Max on Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Want to “lag” your golf club so you can hit the ball straighter and further?

The secret lies in your ability to “slow down” just before impact and “lagging” your clubhead.

In the above video, Ben Hogan hints at how to “lag” your golf club, that is by slowing down a bit just before impact.

Too many amateurs swing the golf club too fast on the downswing.

If you are one of those (and even pros do this all the time), the next time you are on the practice range, try really “slowing down” right before impact and keeping that 90 degree angle between your hands and the club.

This is the “secret” to lagging the golf club. Of course, don’t forget to speed up right after that, as you can clearly see in Hogan’s video.
