Danny Lee and Drew Kittleson at the Finals of 2008 U.S. Amateur!
0 Comments Published August 23rd, 2008 in Danny Kim, Golf News, Golf Predictions.
I enjoyed watching the two youngsters, Danny Lee and Drew Kittleson battle out their semi-final match-play rounds at the 2008 U.S. Amateur today.
It will be an exciting finish tomorrow as we will see who wins the 2008 U.S. Amateur. For the record, if Danny Lee wins, he will become the youngest player to ever win the U.S. Amateur.
Overall, I am impressed how well these 18 year olds can play and the winner will probably play the PGA Tour.
My vote goes to Danny Lee this week since he is the #1 ranked amateur in the world currently.
But you never know as the U.S. Amateur is match play and couple birdies can make up a lot.

Michelle Wie Playing the Reno Tahoe Open!
0 Comments Published July 31st, 2008 in Golf News, Golf Predictions, Michelle Wie.
Well, the biggest news this week is probably the fact that Michelle Wie is playing a PGA tournament, that of Reno Tahoe Open against over 100 best players in the world.
Well, they may not be the best players considering that the World Golf Championships are going on, but still, you’d kill to even play one of those events.
The weirdest part is that I wasn’t rooting for Michelle Wie after I heard that she will be playing this week.
Well it gets weirder as now I want Michelle Wie to play good and make the cut.
As weird as that sounds, you may be thinking the same thing, rooting for something that looks impossible just like Tiger won the U.S. Open this year on his impossible knees, or the fact that Greg Norman held 54-hole lead at the Open.
Whatever the case, this week is probably the most important for golfers for Wie to play well, or at least keep up to her early reputation as the future-Tiger of LPGA.

Retief Goosen in the Lead at the World Golf Championship!
0 Comments Published July 31st, 2008 in Golf News, Golf Predictions, Retief Goosen, Steve Stricker.
Retief Goosen in the Lead at the World Golf Championship!
Retief Goosen is in the lead at the World Golf Championships this week. At 4 under par, it’s hard to tell whether that will keep up by the end of the day as Steve Stricker is about to finish with some more birdies.
My predictions for this week’s winner?
Well, I have no predictions really this week as there’s so many great players playing. If I had to put some bets, I might have it on Andy Kim, Kenny Perry, or maybe Retief Goosen.
My prediction is that either a multi-PGA Tour winner this year or a hiding veteran player like Retief will win it.
Is this 4th major?
No, of course not, the course is too easy if the leader is shooting 4 under par. WGC cannot be considered a major until the courses are made way tougher.

Greg Norman Leads British Open by 2 - About to Become the Oldest Player to win a Major!
1 Comment Published July 19th, 2008 in Golf News, Golf Predictions, greg norman.
Wow, what a tournament. I just finished watching the 3rd round of British Open as Greg Norman finishes up with a 2 shot lead and a 72 today.
What impressed me wasn’t the fact that he is 53 years old, it’s the fact that he’s able to turn back time to his 1986 Turnberry British Open championship.
I know if this was the Masters, Greg Norman wouldn’t have a good chance going into the final round but in this case, with Norman 2 shots ahead, it’s as good as in the bag.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Greg Norman eventually wins by 5-7 shots tomorrow. He might be old but he’s still more in shape than most 30 year olds. Plus, he knows how to win a British Open.
Well, I hope I am not wrong tomorrow and let’s see one of our favorite golfers win one of his last majors tomorrow.
